When asked why she loves what she does? Dr. Joyce consistently responds stating, “I love what I do because it's my calling.” Her goal in life is to educate, encourage and inspire through the classroom of life. She may use platforms such as: television, radio, social media, film and academia however inspiring others to DO SOMETHING is her calling.

Civil rights icon and United Nations Ambassador Andrew Young calls Dr. Joyce the “rap doctor” because of her expertise in hip-hop and pop culture. Ambassador Young states, “her ability to convey her thoughts with humor and personality as well as her unique way of developing the leadership capacities of the next generation are refreshing and what this generation needs.”
